Handcrafted ceramics Popeye can
The Popeye photoceramics jar, is a ceramic object dedicated to Popeye’s famous spinach jar, Popeye, mythical Cartoons character. It belongs to the Ludoceramiche line and, like the other jars, is made by a drawing by the master craftsman Tullio Mazzotti, the current owner of the factory as well as the fourth generation of the ceramists family who was the protagonist of the twentieth century ceramics and whose furnace was workshop of the Futurist movement of the 1930s. It has no function of use, it was created “only” to entertain, to make reflecting and recall more or less known images of the contemporary world. Like every piece that leaves the Mazzotti factory, it is fashioned exclusively by hand and decorated in photoceramics, with the technique of a high-fire decal at 940 °. This new series of ceramics, whose design is from 2017, are designed and created entirely by Tullio Mazzotti. The Ludoceramiche line, consists of 4 different cans that can be purchased individually or with other objects in the series.

Every single piece is edited by the master Tullio Mazzotti, fourth generation of Mazzotti ceramisti.
All the ceramics are the result of a rigorous selection that is carried out by the same expert hands that accompany each majolica in all phases of its processing that takes place with a completely manual working process with brush tip and firing decoration. The decoration takes place
manually in the tip of the brush.
For this reason we are sure that each piece is unique and remains unrepeatable, so much so that, as it happens today with our production of the past, a precious collector’s item.
The trademark of the Giuseppe Mazzotti 1903 manufacture, made up of the stylization of an old wood-fired furnace surrounded by the letters G. M. A. and dated 1903, guarantees the high quality of this ceramic.
